Sightseeing hours are separate from worship. Last entry is usually around 16:00 and the dome galleries close at 16:15. Sundays are given over to services; always check the morning of your visit.

These are the usual weekday times. On occasional Wednesdays — roughly one a month — the cathedral opens later for a service, so check the day-by-day list below for the exact time on your date.

There's no general sightseeing on Sundays, but the Dome Galleries are open separately for a seasonal Sunday climb from spring to late October, run as the Cathedral's own ticketed programme.

Dome galleries

The climb opens shortly after the cathedral and closes at 16:15. High winds or maintenance can close it without notice.
