Finding the entrance

North Transept entrance

The North Transept is the single main entrance for all sightseeing visitors. It has a ramped approach, so it also serves as the step-free entrance to the cathedral floor and crypt. The grand West Doors open only for major services and ceremonies.

Car

There is no visitor parking at the cathedral, and the Congestion Charge and ULEZ apply. The nearest public car park is Baynard House on Queen Victoria Street — about 6 minutes' walk (400m).

Coach

Angel Street, St Martin's Le Grand and Queen Victoria Street — about 7 minutes' walk (500m).

Cycle

Santander Cycles docking stations are within a 3-minute walk. Free on-street cycle parking is available on surrounding streets and in nearby City car parks.
